BMW 1 Series (F40) / 2 Series Gran Coupé (F44) Coding & CarPlay Ireland
Independent coding for the BMW 1 Series (F40) / 2 Series Gran Coupé (F44) (2019–present) in Dublin and across Ireland. iDrive 6 (NBT Evo ID6) on base Live Cockpit cars, iDrive 7 (MGU) with Live Cockpit Plus / Professional, iDrive 8 on the newest builds. In person at the car, wherever it is parked, or remotely over ENET.
In person across Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow & Meath · remote across Ireland
The F40 is the first front-wheel-drive 1 Series and shares its electronics with the X1 and X2, not the old F20. Most cars left the factory with CarPlay, so the usual jobs are different: Android Auto and CarPlay where a trial lapsed or an import lost it, Japan → EU conversions (F40s are a common Japanese import), digital speed, folding mirrors, lighting and the sport displays in the Live Cockpit cluster.
Every job starts with your exact build: send the model year and VIN and we confirm which features your F40 1 Series supports before anything is booked. Work is done in person around Dublin and the surrounding counties, at your home or workplace, or remotely over ENET anywhere in Ireland. Everything is reversible and you pay on completion, once you have seen it working.
Most-requested coding on the F40 1 Series

- Japan → EU conversion for imported F40s — radio, language, EU maps
- Digital speed and sport / M display layouts in the cluster

Frequently asked questions
Does my F40 1 Series have Apple CarPlay?
Most F40s from 2019 on have CarPlay from the factory. Where it is missing, where a ConnectedDrive trial ran out, or on a Japanese import whose services were tied to Japan, activation is €150 on iDrive 6 and €220 on iDrive 7 — no subscription. Send your VIN and we confirm which system you have.
How much does coding a F40 1 Series cost?
It depends on the features: CarPlay activation is €150 on NBT Evo and €220 on MGU, diagnostics start from €80, and multi-feature sessions are priced as a bundle. We confirm the price up front from your build.
Can my F40 1 Series be coded remotely?
Most software features, yes — you connect a Windows laptop and an ENET cable to the OBD port and we code over a screen-share session. Hardware retrofits need the car in person.
Is the coding reversible?
Fully. Every change adjusts parameters that already exist in the car, and we can return any setting to factory — for example before a dealer visit.
What is possible depends on your exact model, year, head unit (NBT, NBT Evo or MGU) and software version, plus any installed hardware. We confirm compatibility from your model, year and VIN before any work starts.
